The new Kyushindo Karate dojo at Jacksons Lane, Highgate
We are excited to announce that Kyushindo Karate Highgate has moved to a new local venue.
After 56 years at St Augustine's Church, we have relocated to Jacksons Lane, the flagship arts and cultural venue in the heart of Highgate, north London.
This move marks the end of an era, as our lessons, seminars and national gradings had been held at St Augustine’s church hall without interruption from 1965 to 2019. Due to a new lease arrangement at the church hall, we temporarily held classes in the Crypt at St Augustine's for the last few months in 2021. Having outgrown the Crypt, we have now taken the decision to relocate to a vibrant, state of the art venue that is approximately 10 minutes walk from our previous location.
Our classes will be held in Studio 4 at Jacksons Lane (directly opposite Highgate Tube station) every Tuesday and Thursday at 20.00-21.30.
Buses 43, 134 and 263 stop outside Jacksons Lane.
As Jacksons Lane is undergoing a comprehensive redevelopment the main entrance is closed until renovations finish, so access will be via the side entrance for now (on Jacksons Lane itself). Follow the arrows on the signage posted around the outside of the building. Please arrive approximately 15 minutes before the class begins to change into your karate gi.
